How Zaps Works

Trader Score

Every wallet's core score. 0 to 1000, built from how you actually trade and what your peers say.

Live now

Every trader on Zaps holds one Trader Score, on a 0 to 1000 scale. It answers one question: how much can this trader be trusted, based on how they trade, what their wallet's history shows, and what the people who have dealt with them say.

What builds it

  • 35%Trading Performance· how you actually trade, from your real DEX and perps history
  • 25%zScore· your wallet's behavioral trust score from Zeru
  • 25%Personal Community Score· what the people who have dealt with you say, weighted by their own standing
  • 10%Contribution· reports written, endorsements and challenges given
  • 5%zaps Held· a light bonus for sustained presence, capped on purpose

Trading performance is the largest input on purpose. It is the hardest signal to fake and the most direct measure of skill. Peer standing is weighted by the standing of whoever gave it: an endorsement from a Sharp trader moves you more than one from an unproven account. Wealth is deliberately the smallest factor. Holding zaps signals presence, and it is capped hard so reputation is never mostly a function of money.

The tiers

Unproven
0–349
Emerging
350–549
Sharp
550–699
Proven
700–824
Apex
825–1000

A brand-new wallet starts genuinely low. That is honest, not punitive: with no history, every input except your zScore is zero, and the low end of the scale is named Unproven, not distrusted. There is no artificial starting boost. The score is real from day one.

Distrusted is a flag, not a tier. It appears only while an active slash or mute exists, and it overrides the displayed tier no matter what the underlying number is. The moment the flag clears, your real score reappears exactly where it was.

How it updates

Inputs pulled from live systems, like trading performance and zScore, resync daily. Inputs earned through actions, like peer trust and contribution, update the moment the action happens and never decay. Going quiet does not erase what you earned. Only an explicit negative event, a challenge received or a lost dispute, takes points away.

How to raise it

One concrete action per factor:

  1. Trading Performance · trade with real size on real venues, the way you already do. Zaps indexes it automatically.
  2. zScore · build genuine onchain history across DeFi, and consider minting your zScore so it is computed from your full record.
  3. Personal Community Score · be someone worth vouching for. Endorsements from trusted peers compound. Only file formal disputes you are confident in: losing one costs more than winning one gains.
  4. Contribution · write experience reports for KOLs you have actually traded with, endorse conduct you would vouch for.
  5. zaps Held · stay active. Your Clan Tier rises with your balance and adds a small bonus.

Every score gauge in the app opens into a full breakdown showing exactly where your points come from, with the same playbook attached.
